Marshall Kauffman's Kings Promotions returned to Live! Casino in South Philly for an eight-bout card headlined by popular puncher Christian Carto. The 27-year old local star took on Miami-based Colombian southpaw Jesus Martinez in the scheduled eight-round main event. Carto won the first two rounds before turning up the heat in round three. His output in the third was too much for the 43-year old journeyman, and after just over one minute in the bout, Carto scored his fifteenth knockout. Referee Eric Dali stopped the fight at 1:06 of round three. Carto won his fifth straight and improved to 22-1, 15 KOs. Martinez added another loss and dropped to 35-21-1, 16 KOs. Rookie promoter Dominc Walton debuted his Teflon Promotions on Saturday night at the Liacouras Center. His inaugural offering was a stacked, 11-bout card featuring a heavyweight 10-rounder in the main event and an undercard loaded with local and popular ring talent. The bouts were matched by Renee Aiken. This was the first of three events planned by Teflon Promotions, all expected to take place in Philly over the summer. debut in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Thursday, April 18th.
The five-fight card played out in front of a weeknight crowd
at the city’s legendary 2300 Arena, a venue that has played
an important role in keeping the “City of Brotherly Love’s”

RDR Promotions returned to Harrah's Philadelphia in Chester, PA for an eight-bout show featuring Greg Outlaw and Rondale Hubbert in the eight-round main event. Outlaw stopped Hubbert at 2:31 of round three. Outlaw dropped Hubbert twice before referee Shawn Clark halted the bout. Outlaw, Bowie, MD, improved to 14-2, 8 KOs, 2 No contests. The Pennsylvania Boxing Hall of Fame announced the latest group to be inducted as part of the 2024 class. The new class includes seventeen members - seven boxers and ten non-boxers - five trainers, along with one promoter, one ring announcer, one referee, one commissioner, and one writer. The past week has been bittersweet – a melancholy lesson of advancing years. Early morning, Friday, February 9th, I was ecstatic when John DiSanto, Chairman of the Pennsylvania Boxing Hall of Fame, gave me the great news that Coach Shar’ron Baker would be inducted in the class of 2024. Coach Shar’ron was nominated last year, but for some inexplicable reason she was not elected with her trainer/mentor – the late, great Sam Hickman who was inducted in the Class of 2023. RDR Promotions staged their first 2024 show at Harrah's Philadelphia in Chester, PA. The eight-bout card featured a slate of locals in four, six and eight-round bouts, as well as a couple of out-of-towners plunked on the card. There were six knockouts (four of them in the first round) and two decisions. Welterweight Isaiah Johnson closed the show with a fifth-round TKO of New Yorker Dashaun Johns in thier scheduled six-rounder. The win pushed Johnson's undefeated record to 9-0, 7 KOs. Young Devin Price suffered his first professional loss (3-1, 2 KOs) in a four-round junior welterweight fight with Sebastian Chaves (6-7, 2 KOs) of Argentina. Mis Downing presented an eight-bout show at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City on Saturday, January 13, 2024. In the main event, Dylan Price extended his unbeaten streak (17-0, 11 KOs, 1 No Contest) and defended the North American Boxing Federation bantamweight belt he won nearly one year ago. Price looked sharp, shutting out Gilberto Mendoza over the first eight rounds before Mendoza quit on his stool before the ninth round began. The stoppage goes into the books as a TKO at 3:00 of round eight. In the co-feature, heavyweight Joey Dawejko was upset by Malik Titus in a fight for the WBC Silver heavyweight regional title belt.
